Tecnevin offers unlimited photographic backdrops on the 4 acre estate boasting undulating land, finely manicured lawns, close proximity to the beach and stunning gardens. In addition there are spectacular uninterrupted views of the valley from a stunning 120 sqm ceremony platform.

The homestead is truly a perfect mix of period features with modern luxury and services you will enjoy. With large outdoor timber decking, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, reverse cycle heating and cooling, games, and floodlit tennis court. You will feel completely relaxed while experiencing the most tranquil environment, perfect for your wedding day.

Tecnevin Estate

History

1859

Tecnevin was the second property to be constructed in the area in 1859, it became the home to the daughter of the first Shoreham settlers Honora Byrnes and her husband Edmund Riley.

1880

The cottage was originally built during the 1880s using traditional craftsmanship and materials of the era, reflecting the charm and character of historic rural architecture and has since been refurbished.

1930

The original home stood where today the tennis court is. The current homestead was built in 1930, by Major McGregor Knox, he built Tecnevin as his summer house.

1939

During World War II, Tecnevin operated as a dairy farm and was requisitioned to supply fresh milk to the armed forces, playing a vital role in supporting troops with essential provisions.
